The photos above are taken on the Larch Valley/Sentinal Pass Trail, in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. Starting at gorgeous Lake Louise, we hiked up just after an early snow storm and slipped and slid our way up the mountains to the pass and back down again. Spectacular fall color and dazzling snow in Larch Valley blended to make stunning scenery.
This past fall’s trip included Glacier National Park in Montana, and Yoho National Park in British Columbia. Although we visited in September, winter came early to the Canadian Rockies and Montana. We saw lots of snow and a record breaking blizzard in Banff. Those photos await sorting and editing but hopefully the magnificence of the place will come through in my photos. See my Photography page on the menu above for more National Park and Wildlife Photos.
I have begun to work in porcelain for the New Year. This is a change of focus for me as most of my pottery has been white stoneware. I will continue to work in stoneware but for now, I have half a ton of domestic porcelain that I want to use. I will be expanding my portfolio of one of a kind, hand thrown and decorated porcelain pieces. Check back to see my progress.
Please come and see my pottery on display and for sale at the the Long View Country Store, Route 3 in Meredith, NH. “A Real Old-Fashioned Country Store!” 603-279-3021 and on Facebook. Also visit my Pottery page on this site for news and updates (click “Pottery” on the banner above).
